Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Taylor is an American actress and producer recognized for her roles was in Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist and the television show The Mentalist. She holds a BA in African-American Studies and an MFA from Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue was born in the United States and is an American actor as well as a producer and director. She has worked in both film and television. Her stage debut was in the year 2000 and then appeared in independent, mainstream and TV series. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico and appeared on BET's epic show The Book of Negroes for which she not only received critical acclaim but also a number of nominations and awards including a Television Critics Choice Award nomination for the Best Actress in a Movie. Her first professional performance was in the role of Ariel in The Tempest. The actress has appeared in Broadway as a part of Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. With regards to her film career, her best-known roles include Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express The Help. Her part as a regular on ABC's drama police series High Incident earned her praises.
